Women Matter Canada's goal is to help Canadians understand how fundamentally the rights of women and girls have been undermined by Bill C16 and the redefinition of woman to no longer be associated with the female body. We are encouraging Canadians to engage with their electoral candidates regarding the erosion of women and girls' rights to identity, safety, privacy and dignity, and to press candidates about the importance of retaining the biological female body as intrinsic to the definition of woman. Women Matter Canada has created a pledge for candidates, who are willing to stand up for women's rights, which you may find here.
Your elected officials are there to represent you, explain your concerns about Bill C16 and share their response with us at firstname.lastname@example.org. For social media posts, use #WomenMatter for a stronger voice.
